BIO
Long Bio
I've been creating stories for as long as I can remember.
Before I could write, I would make "books" by folding pieces of construction paper and drawing pictures in them.
When I was eight, I wrote a book about dolphins in a spiral notebook, put it in a giant manila envelope, addressed it to the publisher and tried to mail it. (I quickly found out that's not how books are published)
In high school, I wrote full length novels with photocopied collage covers about punks falling in love.
I enlisted in the US Army in 2010. I lived in Italy for 3 1/2 years. During my time in service, I was an Arabic linguist and drill sergeant (though I've gone the Bob Ross route of drill sergeanting (yes, famous painter Bob Ross was a drill sergeant!) and I don't yell much anymore). I was medically retired after serving 11 years in 2022.
In 2019, I was beyond myself with joy to announce I was one step closer to achieving my life long dream of being a published author when I signed with literary agent Emily Forney at BookEnds Literary.
In 2021, I announced that my vampire middle grade book YOUNG BLOOD (later renamed Don't Want To Be Your Monster) had found a home with Tundra Press, and imprint of Penguin Random House Canada, as well as a second book about Jewish Werewolves!
Currently I live in the Pacific Northwest.
